Quitclaim deed

My mom was a widow and has recently passed without a will meaning that in the sate of Texas the house is to be divided by all 8 of her children. We are all in agreement that I should get the house but I do not know if a quitclaim deed can be used in this matter. I am the youngest and the one that took care of her but I don't know how to transfer everyones interest to myself.
Welcome Bree,

You as well as your siblings will have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office and get the property transferred in your names. Then, your siblings can file a quit claim deed and transfer the property to you.
