mom passed almost 2 years ago. did a quit claim deed before she died. i have paid mortgage since. it is still under her name i would like to refinance. is there a problem?
Hi cnl!

Welcome to forums!

I don't think there will be any issues in refinancing the mortgage. You will have to speak to lender about refinancing. If he agrees, you will get it. Normally the lenders agree to refinance.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi cnl!

If the property is still in your mother's name, then you can first file an Affidavit of Heirship in the county recorder's office and then go for a refinancing.

Thanks,

Jerry
