I am a California resident who owns a rental property in austin texas. I have been told it is not possible for me to get a heloc, because the home is not my residence. Is this true??
Hi thomasboyce!
Welcome to forums!
As far as I know, HELOC is available on a rental property. I think you should consult a few more lenders and check your options. You can also contact the lenders of this community and seek a no obligation free mortgage consultation. Let's hope they will be able to help you.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
