Warranty deed forged and notarized by a texas notary?

Posted on: 29th Sep, 2009 05:58 pm
i have a warranty deed that the grantor signature was forged. What can I do?
Hi magda,

If the grantor's signature has been forged, then the deed will not be considered as a legal document. You need to contact the grantor and the attorney and draft a new warranty deed to get the property transferred in your name. Then, you need to notarize and record the deed.

Thanks

"Warranty deed forged and notarized by a texas notary"

If this deed is forged and it is otarized also then in my opinion it will be problematic for the attorney who has notarized it.But as far as the legal frame of this document is concerned it is no more valid.

keep in touch....

Hi garcia!

Welcome to forums!

If you're sure that the deed has been forged, then you or the elderly person should contact a real estate attorney, file a lawsuit and challenge the deed in the court. This will help the elderly person get back the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
