My wife's brother forged their mother's signature on a warrant deed for property in Midland Texas in2009 claiming their mother sold the property to him for ten dollars. Never happened. The property has not yet been probated from the grandmother's death in 04. Other aiers were never contacted about the sale.[color=Cyan:97c67f8517][/color:97c67f8517]
Hi Greg,

As your wife's brother has forged their mother's signature in order to get the property transferred in his name, it will be considered as a fraud. Your wife as well as other heirs should contact a real estate attorney and take his or her opinion in this matter. The attorney will let them know what steps they need to take in this matter.

Take care

A warranty deed changing the boundaries of a plot of land was changed by my now deceased father to give the adjoining property more land and the signatures of the two owners was forged. In Missouri, what are our options. The deed was notarized and filed.

Please cancel the above request. I have a lawyer in the family and he told me what to do. Sorry about that.

Hi Betty!

Welcome to forums!

If someone can prove that the signatures were forged, then legal actions can be taken to rectify the matter.
