I have a VA certificate but have never used it, it always seemed like a big hassle to me, has anyone had any luck, I tried to use it like 15 years ago, maybe things have changed, hopefully anyway.

The loan process for VA has been greatly streamlined. It is also one of the last opportunities for 100% financing.

Might be worth a second look.

Contact the National Bank of Kansas City. Their owner is a veteran and does not charge any lender fees on VA loans. They have extensive amount of experience with VA and know exactly what they are doing.

Are you referring to the VA funding fee? THere is no way of getting around that one that I know of.

It shouldn't be difficult to find a good VA lender to help you get qualified. You can probably contact any local mortgage broker that would be more than happy to help you or just apply on this site and they will have someone follow up with a free quote.
