Well, still working on my credit, or devising a plan rather. I am wondering, if I could somehow convince a creditor to remove a charged off account from my report, how would that affect my score?
This IS my only revolving account...At least until I get my secure card in the mail.
Also, I am torn between requesting a DV (due to the large discrepencies in high balances/credit limit reported over the 3 cra's - TU = $200.00 EQ = $536.00 EX = $1,039.00) and trying to settle and hope they would accept a ptr.
I do live in Virginia, so the SoL have passed on this, so I do not believe I have to worry about a lawsuit (reports start in 2006)
I don't want to pay for a debt (an average of $1,038 is what's reported, there's ) that isn't mine, but I also don't want to waste precious time...oh what to do!

even negative history can be good history on a credit report
there are a lot of things that are taken in consideration when looking at a credit score....and history is one of the biggest
if you must pay then do a pay for deletion
sometimes paying off an old debt on your CR can bring down your score as it will reage the account
if you make ANY payment to the account the SOL restarts!

I understand that fully. my biggest concern is that 2 of these are 4+ years old, but being reported as a year old, or being opened in 2008 and 2009, and I did not open any of these then. Midland is the collection agency handling these collections, and from everything I've read they are a nightmare to deal with.
