My father lives in florida. Nine years ago he married a not so nice woman who wants him to have nothing else to do with me. She made him draw up a will leaving 1/2 the condo to me, the other half to herself. (my father is 81 years old). Can he quit claim the title to me? Her name is not on the title.
Hi Alisa,
Your father can change the will and make the sole owner of the Cando as long as his name is on the title. IF your father is willing to do so he can surely do it legally.
Fell free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

Hello Alisa,
Your father can always sign a quit claim to transfer the ownership rights of the property to you. In that case the will becomes invalid as the quit claim is done after the will.
But it is better to make things clear and change the will accordingly to avoid complications in future.

Hi alisa larry and jenkin are absolutly right. Your father is the only one who acn make you sole owner of the condo. But if he does not than it is upto the lady wheher or not she wants to give the other half or not.
