Hi guys,
Here’s what I came to know! And indeed some good news for homeowners!!
The US government has rejected the idea of eliminating deductions for mortgage interest. President Bush said that reducing the tax deduction is a part of a larger plan to simplify the tax code. The government is ruling out any possibility of changing the tax law on this aspect. Indeed the tax deduction gives some relief to homeowners, it helps them to save, so it’s an issue always open to debate.

Yeah thats a very good news for the homeowners atleast. Tax deductions in mortgage helps then to save a lot. May be they remove the tax deduction in the future but as of now the homeowners are tension free.
