Another foreclosure question: As I previously posted, my husband signed th

Another foreclosure question: As I previously posted, my husband signed the mortgage, but not the note and is not on the deed. (Thanks for your response to that post.) I have been reading that although he is not responsible for the note, as you said, he will be part of the foreclosure process since he signed the mortgage. (I should note that he had an attorney prepare an Affidavit - which was signed by the mortgage company - stating that he was asked to sign in error and should not be on the mortgage. This was filed with the Register of Deeds and recorded. ) Given all that, will he be included in the foreclosure process? Will the sheriff's deed show up on his public records (will he be listed on the sheriff's deed)? And, if so, will the credit bureaus pick it up and put it on his credit report even though he is not responsible for the note? I live in Michigan if that helps.

I do not know Michigan laws. He probably did not sign the mortgage in error. He probably signed because he was required to do so as a spouse living in the marital home
