my husband and i wanted to purchase a home but our credit was not good enough so my father in-law helped us get our house. his name is on the title. we would like to put it in our names. any suggestions on how to do that. we live in mn. thanks

  Hello eggec, To get the property from your father-in-laws name to yours, your father in law would have to sign a “quit claim” deed so the property can be transferred from him to you and your husband. The lender may ask your husband to refinance under his name. Hope this helps,
