My father recetnly married and quitclaimed his house to me during his previous marriage, he now wants me to sign it back to him so he can make me beneficiary and and new wife as well. Would making a living will or Estate be a better option? Hes taking me to court in order to remove my name from it. Im not sure about my options in this matter.

First and foremost, you should note that no-one can force you to transfer the property. It will be your discretion whether or not you want to transfer the property to someone else. A will won't be a good option in my opinion as you will have to probate it after the death of the owner in order to get the property transferred in your name.

Hey kalinda,   It is pretty much all up to you to sign it over or not, no one can make you since the house is legally under your name. I would also agree with sussane, a will probably won't be your best option. Hope we could help! Pete Kolackovsky, http://www.mortgage-calgary.com">http://www.mortgage-calgary.com
