My husband and I purchased a home with my mother-in law 6 years ago. It has been 2 years since she up and moved out and decided upon herself to not pay. She is on the deed and mortgage. She refuses to do a loan medication. refinance etc. So we have struggled to pay. She finally decided to agree to a short sale. We all signed the contracts. Since then she won't return any calls from the realtor. We are at a stand still waiting for her to provide her with some paper work. In the mean time we are going to end uploading our home. I have two small kids. Is there anything we can do?

Welcome Guest, Unless your mother-in-law replies to the phone call of the realtor, I don't think there is hardly anything you can do in this regard. You will have to somehow contact her and check out if she is ready to short sale the property even now.
