My mom owns a home with no mortgage on it, 3 yrs a gao fire destroyed nearly everyhting and a loan was taken out to repair and upgrade the house. Now I am trying to take out a mortgage on the house to repay the repair bill but am having a hard time due to property values being low in the neighbor hood. The house is in my name also but the appraiser said that he doubts he could get 50k I only need 15k..any ideas? desperate for guidance on this!
