My mother passed away 6 years agot and she had 6 kids. To make a long story

My mother passed away 6 years agot and she had 6 kids. To make a long story short I was wondering if my oldest sister can put a lien on the house if two of the siblings owe her money. She keeps saying she is going to put a lien on the house. The estate does not owe her the money it is one of her sisters and her brother that owe her. Also if she puts a lien on the property can one of her relatives live in the house and pay rent.

A lien can be placed on a home only if it is legitimate.  Now that isn't to say that someone could be so foolish as to improperly place a lien that could muddy up the title for years. It's worthwhile to rectify this dispute between the sister and the sister/brother combo, rather than let this drag into a battle royale.
