I have terrible credit and a home loan with a baloon payment. My Uncle who has excellent credit is willing to help. Can I add him to the title and then refi? How long would that process take

It will be a good option to add your uncle to the title of the property and then refinance the mortgage. As your uncle has an excellent credit, it will help you in getting a better rate while refinancing the mortgage.

Well, your uncle has excellent credit but will his income be enough or is yours enough to cover both?
refinancing today is a lot different than 5 yrs ago.

This is a good idea. You have to however pass the criteria to get approved for refinancing.
