Selling our home, which we own free and clear, and holding the mortgage.(owner financed) We live in Florida. If the buyer can't make payments and we must foreclose, what are the procedures. I've read different/conflicting thoughts; house would have to be sold in auction?, I could take house back with no strings? it takes 4 months, 6 months, years, to foreclose?

If you have an agreement with the buyer mentioning the fact that you can auction the property in case of non-payment of the debt, then you can definitely sell off the property at an auction. You should contact a real estate attorney and he will help you in dealing with the whole process of auctioning the property.
