what happens if my lenders misses the 45 day contract date

my lender is iffy about closing within the deadline on the sales contract. what will happen,do I have legal ecourse?

Against the lender? For what - they didnt sign the contract you did - the lender is not the one that has to worry it is you - you need to be open with your seller and try to get an extnsion - what options the seller has should be in yourt contract - in most cases the seller has the right to back out and if they do they may be able to keep your earnest deposit - honestly never heard of it happening but thats the threat they will make - everyone wants to close - try to get a solid timeline from your lender and communicate - waiting until the last minute is the worst thing you can do -
