My land and home are valuable but my credit stinks.

I have 20 acres in oklahoma with my primary residence. The home and land appraise for 85k and I only owe 8k more. I have terrible credit (527). I was unemployed and got seriously behind. I have since found employment but my credit is shot. I want to borrow enough $ to pay the land off and past debt so my credit will be improved. Can I borrow against my land using it as collateral? I just need help please.
