i am 6 months late on my morgage.if allowed to re-finance at a rate of 5% or less i can make it.also can i add a family member on a re-finance?i am the only one one the morgage and i like to add my daughter.
I attended a workshop with NACA and really liked what they were saying. My information was submitted to my lender on August 6th. I'm still waiting. They seemed to have confused my member ID number and want more information. My lender is offering me a modification......but it's only for 3 years. I would like NACA's help....but do anyone know how long it take to get an answer from NACA?

Yes, Naca is able to help anyone that is willing to be helped...Naca was able to modify my loan with 2% 40 year fixed loan including property tax and insurance and they were able to get the payment as low as $1,300 from my previous payment of $3,700..they drop my principal balance from $510K to $275K...All That I have sacrificed for was to be willing to stand inline from 2am (in the rain, coz it was raining in sf that am) and wait patiently for the hundreds of Naca counselors to see me and help me with my budget and then i was sent to see my lender which is more than willing to help right there, and after 2 days of camping out inside cow palace...I came out from Cow Palace in San francisco, a happy person with a bright future ahead for me and my family. We were able to save our home...Thanks to Naca and Praise the Lord! If you have missed the opportunity to see Naca in san francisco...Please go on line at naca.com they will truly help you.... :D

Hi!

Welcome to forums!

To alvin,

A loan modification will not help you in combining both the loans into one. If you want to combine both the loans into one, then you will have to refinance the loan. This will help you to lower your interest rate and you would be liable for a single loan.

To Topava,

You can directly contact NACA and get to know whether or not they would be able to help you. You may even request them to speed up the process so that it would be easier for you to cope up with the payments.

I just finished attending the NACA convention in San Francisco......all I can say to ANYONE who is in a hardship situation & needs help.....contact NACA. They will assess your income & budget and make a formal request to your lender for a loan restructure (NOT a refinance) they insist on the lenders making your payments affordable for the life of your loan including principle, interest, taxes & insurance....fixed for thelife of the loan.

People had interest rates lowered to 2%, portions of there principle forgiven and in ALL cases where the house was in foreclosure with an auction date they got the auctions STOPPED that day, so they could work with you and your lender.

As for me I am currently waiting for the restructure request that NACA made on my behalf to be reviewed by my lender......when accepted my payment will drop from a 6.25% 1739 payment to a 2% 802 payment.....

This is not a new loan, a refi, a forebearance or any of the other NEGATIVE offers the banks are making directly to the homeowners.....NACA fights for you....go to NACA.com if you have questions.

If you are looking to by a house NACA offers loans at a rate which is 1% below the market rates, NO down payments, NO closing costs, NO hidden fees......they are a non profit advocacy group working to keep the American dream of home ownership alive.....

I'll end with the most dramatic rescue they were able to make happen on Monday was the family who had lost there house 5 months ago, it went to auction and no one bought it......it has sat empty for 5 months. The former homeowner came in and asked if they could help him get his home back....NACA negotiated with the bank and got this man his home back, with a payment of $1660 per month instead of the original payment he had of $5400......now if that isn't something I sure don't know what is.

All of there services can be done via the internet, phone & fax......I urge anyone in need, to do it today, it really does work......I saw it for myself, first hand.

For the person above who has a 1st & 2nd mortgage......if they are both with the same lender, as mine are NACA will insist that the bank combine them both into one payment.....you do not need to refi.

NACA works in restructures......NOT refinances......refinances don't work. Only a permanent affordable payment (for the life of the loan) is the true answer to getting homeowners out of a bad mortgage.

I have been trying for the past two hours to put my information on NACA website and cannot get past the first screen which keeps disappearing after entering the information. Unable to get to step number 2. Any suggestions?

I just want to say "thank you" to all the positive comment about NACA. Like most, my house is in foreclosure and ready to be auctioned. I heard about NACA from a friend 2 weeks ago and have a phone appointment scheduled next week. This trail gave me hope...thanks! 8)

Naca hasn't done what they said they were going to do. I did my part in getting the info that they asked for, no avial. Don't think that when they tell you that they are gong to keep back to you that will. I went to the World Congress Center in altnat ga, and worked 4 days and spoke with a everyone that I was to speak to about my loan and they even the bank ( Bank og Amreria and they all said they will get back with me. DO BLEIVEE THE WHAT THEY SAY. OR TO CALL BACK IN A WEEK RIGHT THEY WILL TELL YOU ANOTHER WEEK

the last post seems utterly contradictory to all those which appeared before it recently. there's always going to be a deal that doesn't work for some reason...there's always going to be inefficiency in an organization...there's always going to be a disgruntled individual somewhere. i don't have personal experience with naca, except for being on a panel with one of their representatives who was plainly in business to help folk. can they do miracles? i doubt that, but i'm sure they have an expertise that will help most people in need.

that's just my take on things.

Hi donald,

You can apply for a loan modification with your lender. This will help you in lowering your interest rates thereby helping you reducing your mortgage payments. This will help you in saving the property.

Thanks
