Hi lil mama!

Welcome to forums!

I don't think NACA can refinance the loan if you are behind on your mortgage payments. However, they may help you in getting a loan modification. I would suggest you to contact NACA and check out whether or not they have dealt with your account.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Moe, that's great. Questions - Did you receive written documentation from your bank that modified your loan from your orig. percentage to your new rate of 2%? or Did you receive a verbal/written statement from a NACA representative? My husband and I received verbal+documented recommendation for a loan restructure. We were told that a modified mortgage payment was required for 4 months, before new escrow docs are drawn. The story was completely changed when the docs. arrived.

Hi ann,

I don't think NACA has their office at Brooklyn. However, you can contact their offices at Buffalo or New York to get further information regarding refinance. The contact details are as follows:

Buffalo
3607 Washington Street
Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
(617) 250-NACA (6222)

New York
3607 Washington Street

Thanks

Hi AR!

Welcome to forums!

NACA is organizing loan modification events in various states. You can check out as to when NACA is visiting your state and contact them in person regarding your refinance options.

Happy Thanksgiving Day :)

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Do you have to be late on your payments to get help NACA. I'm not late because my son bales me out every month. Do you think I still have a chance?

Would someone please tell me where NACA is getting the funds to refinance all of these loans at 2% to which so many people are attesting? There is no free lunch. How is NACA seemingly doing this?

Hey Mark... there's chances that the government is helping NACA with funds.

if naca is working with someone on a modification or to obtain a refinance with their originating bank, they're not funding these transactions.

guest, i have to imagine that the government isn't "helping naca with funds."

I started working with NACA in Aug 09. Proposal sent to my lender in Sept, 09 and they have NOT RESPONDED, except to start foreclosure.
In Nov I owed $3500 ans of Dec 2 it is now $11,800. I keep faxing all required documentation. anyone else had this problem????
