Geneva Roth Capital Inc. which is also known as Loan Point USA ("http://www.loanpointusa.com/" ) is a payday loan company that carries out its own collections. Based at Utah, the company is reported to be a loan shark by several consumers who have shared their experience with the company in our forums.

There have been several complaints so far from customers regarding illegal activities of Geneva Roth. Here's why debtors feel that Geneva Roth is a loan shark:
  • The company often over charges its customers and withdraws money from their accounts repeatedly even after the loan payment is over.
  • The company also keeps changing its contact information due to which customers make repeated calls but fail to get any response from Geneva Roth.
  • Geneva Roth somehow gets access to bank accounts not related to the loan and debits money from such accounts.
  • Even if consumers do not apply for Geneva Roth loans, the company somehow gets access to their accounts and forcefully deposit loan funds without even sending any paper agreement to the debtor.
If you are in problem while dealing with the company or if you need to make an enquiry on your payment, loan balance etc, talk to a customer representative at the Geneva Roth toll free number.

In case you don't get any response from the company, or if they continue with their illegal activities, file a complaint with the FTC, BBB or your State attorney General. And if you'd like to share your experience with Geneva Roth - good or bad, feel free to post it below.

I need to contact geneva roth about a payday loan I need a phone number.
I do not remember doing business with Geneva Roth, but if I did I would not authorize numerous withdrawals from my account per month. So far I have had double withdrawals in June and tried to do the same in July. It has cost me bank fees for payments that cannot be made. I cannot afford these fees and I would not authorize double payments from my account. I want these withdrawals stopped. I also want to know who they represent.

hi Mary.

Welcome to the forum.

Geneva Roth is a loan shark. So better close you account so that they cannot take away any money from your account. BTW as you don't have done any business and they are withdrawing money from your account, you should file complain with FTC against them.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck.
Larry

Hello.

I feel you have filed complaints against Geneva Roth. How would they get your new account number?

i am in dispute with this company and after they sent me an "agreement" that i "electronically signed" i knew it was bogus. i noticed that someone here on this forum displayed the same exact agreement sent to me via snail mail. that makes it seem that this company is being fraudulent. i called the company myself to dispute the loan and i was harassed. i told the lady that i never authorized this loan and that $360 had been taken out of my account for a $400 loan.
after looking through the loan and doing the most research as i possibly could until i got sick of it, i found that pay day loan agencies have to display the amount of the loan, the date of the loan, the fees of the loan and address and company distributing the loan before the customer should sign it. only the name of the company (geneva roth capital-company-ventures was on this 'agreement') i have filed complaints with the bbb, ftc and attorney general's office of idaho. i am also filing bankruptcy and want to get rid of this place. i think that they should be shut down because of their dishonesty. oh, and has anyone else realized that when you actually call their number they don't introduce their business? that is very unethical.

Welcome idcitycowgir.

It is good that you have filed complained against this company with the BBB, FTC and Attorney General's office in your state but why are you filing bankruptcy? Are you filing chapter7 or chapter13? You will have negative affect on your credit report if you file bankruptcy.

I am not filing bankruptcy because of this company. I realize that filing will leave a bad mark on my credit, but I felt it was the right thing to do because of the excessive loans I had taken out with banks, including credit cards. I do not make enough money each week to pay all these back. I need a fresh start so that I can start saving money for emergencies. Now I am so careful with my money and know how far a dollar can really go. I feel that if I got myself into money problems, that I need to get myself out.

nmchand44 is my other email, I must have signed in with both emails. But that is my response above. =D

Hello idcitycowgir.

So are you filing chapter13 or chapter7? have you got approved for filing the bankruptcy?

Do you know if you file chapter7 then all you non-exempt properties will be sold to pay off your debts and even if you file chapter13 then also you will have to pay the debt with an affordable repayment plan. So I feel filing bankruptcy should be the last choice to choose.

Let me know if you have any further queries.

I really feel that is none of your business. The main reason why I posted on this site was to let people know that I, too, feel that I have been scammed by Geneva Roth Companies and to tell them what I have done to try and fix the problem.

A customer service rep atated my loan was paid in full based on the lending of of my state. I also received a respones to my BBB complaint staing my loan was paid in full. Last week another rep called me and asked why I had not paid them more money. He said I now owed a large sum of money. I sent him copies of the emails I received from the other rep and the BBB response. He then called me back and told me that I misinterpreted the other reps emails. He told me that I actually agreed to extend the loan. I asked him for a copy of the extension he said that I sent him and for a copy of the contract I never recieved. He jsut changed the subject and told me that if I refused to pay then he had no other choice but to send me to further collections and that they would get money from me one way or another. I then called Utah were they are licensed and was directed by them to file a complaint and call Rebecca West at Geneva Roth. I did both, however I have left many messages and email, andI still have not received a response from her.

Hi Janie. Welcome to the forum.

Have you file complaints with FTC. If not then file a complaint with FTC and also with the Attorney General's Office in your state. Hope that will help.

Best of luck,
Larry

Who in there right mind goes online to receive money knowing they aren't gonna pay it back, and then get mad when the company they tried to steal the money from gets there money back? I've talked to plenty of you retarded retards, stating that GRC
Put funds in their accounts unknown to them, but if you were as smart as you assume you are, you would know not to (A put all of your private info ONLINE, for the whole free world to get ahold of. Or (B don't sign the agreement if you don't read it first. But if you still feel your being the smart one if you read the confirmation email that is sent after you've approved, you would see there is a 24 hour period you have to reject the loan, but your so busy spending the money you "never" asked for or recieved, right?

Well GrC,

It's good that you've shared your thoughts here about Geneva Roth Cap. By the way, are you associated with grc as the name suggests? You must have seen the complaints we get here from people who've been ripped off by Geneva Roth Cap. But doesn't that sound strange - I mean so many people have been complaining - is it fair to say that so many people just didn't understand they could reject the loan within the 24 hr period? don't think so.

Take Care

The reason why so many people are very upset with this company is because (1) they never saw a contract to sign, (2) can not or could never get good customer service with this company in regards to any loan information, (3)were called at work and harassed about paying off a loan that they had paid off completely in the past and (4) honestly did not apply for the loan little agree to the terms and agreements that this company supposedly says that the customer "electronically signed." I have received a "terms and agreement" from this company and NOWHERE on it does it show the amount of money that was funded in my account, when it would be funded into my account, when the "extension fees" would be taken out of my account or shows a handwritten signature which is the only way to receive a loan through loanpointusa.com. I did have money put into my account and yes, I was very puzzled who it was that had put it there. But after I saw that $120 was taken out three times and then I got an NSF notice in the mail saying that they wanted another $120 I had to figure out what was going on . I never saw an agreement to sign, and that i where I stand. I am surprised that a representative from GRC has signed on here to stand their ground. But calling those who feel that they have been scammed by this company (for the reasons above) "RETARDED RETARDS" shows that this company does in fact have no etiquette and honestly doesn't want to change their ways of business. Shame on them for even submitting that post.
