Geneva Roth Capital Inc. which is also known as Loan Point USA ("http://www.loanpointusa.com/" ) is a payday loan company that carries out its own collections. Based at Utah, the company is reported to be a loan shark by several consumers who have shared their experience with the company in our forums.

There have been several complaints so far from customers regarding illegal activities of Geneva Roth. Here's why debtors feel that Geneva Roth is a loan shark:
  • The company often over charges its customers and withdraws money from their accounts repeatedly even after the loan payment is over.
  • The company also keeps changing its contact information due to which customers make repeated calls but fail to get any response from Geneva Roth.
  • Geneva Roth somehow gets access to bank accounts not related to the loan and debits money from such accounts.
  • Even if consumers do not apply for Geneva Roth loans, the company somehow gets access to their accounts and forcefully deposit loan funds without even sending any paper agreement to the debtor.
If you are in problem while dealing with the company or if you need to make an enquiry on your payment, loan balance etc, talk to a customer representative at the Geneva Roth toll free number.

In case you don't get any response from the company, or if they continue with their illegal activities, file a complaint with the FTC, BBB or your State attorney General. And if you'd like to share your experience with Geneva Roth - good or bad, feel free to post it below.

I also had a loan with them. I rexcently opened a new acount with a bank not at all affiliated with the one I had at the time of the loan. with in 3 weeks they had obtained my account info and tried to debit my account. I talked with my bank who suggested I open a new account. They did say how ever there was nothing they could do to prevent this company from debiting my account again. They said they did not know how they obtained my account info, but if they got my new account number they could not stop them from continuing to debit my accoutn. What can I do to stop them from getting my account number every time I open a new account? Isn't that illegal?

Hello Krysti,

That is of course illegal. You should take legal steps immediately to stop this. Otherwise they will keep on pulling money from your account.

Was your loan paid off entirely?

I did get a number from my bank but i no longer have it. Call your bank they should be able to trace it for you if they are still taking money from your account

I to am a Victim Of Geneva Roth V....I have had a horrible experience w/ them. I have been paying an extention fee for ONE YEAR of $150.00 every 2 weeks, I have recently decided to close my bank account so they can no longer ACH my account...
I am now working w/ Pay Day Loan Assistance so I can pay them off and get to the bottom of this nightmare.
They have threated to Garnish my Wages at work and send a lawyer after me at work.....Now The only problem here for them, Is I Currently work for the bank in which i hold my accounts w/ I am very aware of the policies and procedures and complience terms of the bank as well as the protection to the customers accounts...They for one cannot Garnish my Wages Before taking me to court and w/ out the Judge's order. Second a Lawyer does not have the power to Garnish my Wages or show up to my Job and intimidate me he will then be asked to speak to my lawyer if need be. I am currently a Relationship Manager and if you have any questions on how to Dispute any transactions that have not been authorized Ill be sure to give you my prompt undivided attention...I hope this helps answer some questions.

Thanks Seli for the sound advice. So, you mean it isn't easy for Geneva Roth and similar companies to garnish debtor's wages. They will have to get court order and then talk to the debtor's attorney. So, the debtor's attorney has the chance to fight it out. That's good!

Hey Seli, by the way, which bank are you working with? they seem to be have good customer account protection policies. :)

Hi Renee,

Welcome to the forum.

There are so many complaints them and the number is increasing day by day. If you have been harassed by Geneva Roth you should file complaints with the Attorney General's office in your state.

Best of luck.

I'm trying to get in touch with them too because they're taking their money out before my payday and it's making me have overdrafts with my bank. I'm trying to talk to someone now and hopefully they will be understanding and helpful or I'm going to have to dispute them! It will take some time but it will be worth it because there's something going on with this company if there's alot of complaints. I have a few online loans and this is the only one I'm having problems with!

I just found out they debited my account this morning and I have never had a loan through them so I am not sure what is going on. I went to the bank they put it bank into my account and said they would not be allowed to with draw from my bank account again.

I just talked to a rep and she was very polite. She said she don't know why the money was taken out before my payday and she was putting in a refund sheet for me to have the money deducted from what I owe them. She told me to call back later to see how it went and to see when I should be expecting the refund. I hope it goes the way it suppose to.

yes, Tamaica, you should call up the representative again. There's a lot of complaints against this company and this is enough to indicate that there are some problems going on with this company.
