Geneva Roth Capital Inc. which is also known as Loan Point USA ("http://www.loanpointusa.com/" ) is a payday loan company that carries out its own collections. Based at Utah, the company is reported to be a loan shark by several consumers who have shared their experience with the company in our forums.

There have been several complaints so far from customers regarding illegal activities of Geneva Roth. Here's why debtors feel that Geneva Roth is a loan shark:
  • The company often over charges its customers and withdraws money from their accounts repeatedly even after the loan payment is over.
  • The company also keeps changing its contact information due to which customers make repeated calls but fail to get any response from Geneva Roth.
  • Geneva Roth somehow gets access to bank accounts not related to the loan and debits money from such accounts.
  • Even if consumers do not apply for Geneva Roth loans, the company somehow gets access to their accounts and forcefully deposit loan funds without even sending any paper agreement to the debtor.
If you are in problem while dealing with the company or if you need to make an enquiry on your payment, loan balance etc, talk to a customer representative at the Geneva Roth toll free number.

In case you don't get any response from the company, or if they continue with their illegal activities, file a complaint with the FTC, BBB or your State attorney General. And if you'd like to share your experience with Geneva Roth - good or bad, feel free to post it below.

I had a loan with Geneva Roth. I had to close my old checking account that had fraud going on and open a new checking account with a different bank. At that time my loan wasnt paid off with Geneva Roth. I contacted them and told them that I would like to set up payment arrangements with them for my outstanding loan with them. I was willing to do a moneygram with them. Before I was going to get my moneygram to pay them of they found my new account information with a new bank. But I never gave them my new account information and the name of my new bank. Can they take money from my new account without me giving me permission and the information?

Hi RJKG and amber cox,

Welcome to the forum.

I think it is illegal to take out money without the proper authorization of the account holder. Why don't you file a complaint in the Attorney General's office in you state. I think you should try and stop them from doing this kind of scam.

Best of luck,
Larry

Hi RJKG,

Welcome back.

You have said "filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office and BBB office and it wasnt to helpful." But as far as I know Attorney General's office and BBB office are meant for taking care of this kind of scam and punishing them.

Can you please tell us what actually happened after file the complaint?

Best of luck,
Larry

Hi Larry,

They just took my info and said they will file a complaint. Thanked for calling.

Can they take money from my new account without me giving me permission and the information?
Posted on: 24th Mar, 2008 12:38 pm
Well RGKG/cox,

To be frank, they have been doing so with several people. And the authorities haven't been able to stop them as they keep on changing their contact information. I think it's better if you pay off the loan asap and end the deal with them.
