Anyone had WCS Lending Experience?

Posted on: 07th Dec, 2006 05:36 am
Has anyone had experience with WCS Lending? They are associated with Lending Tree and claim to rank among their top producers.
I can just say that WCS lending is listed as one of the top lenders associated with lending Tree and they have offices in Florida, Michigan and New York.

I will suggest that you do not go just by what others are saying. Even if they have good reputation, talk with other lenders also to compare the offer each of them are providing. Take a decision on which lender to choose only after you are certain that the loan programs they have would meet your personal requirements.

We do our best to rectify all our client issues, but our records do not indicate that anyone by the name of "John Ohio" filed a compliant with our Customer Service Department. If you a legitimate issue to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact us to attempt to resolve. Thank you.

that's a cute post WCS...go figure that there wouldn't be any customers by the name of "john ohio" on your rolls. did you ever consider that it may be a pseudonym?

On that subject of customer service. I am also owed a large reimbursement from WCS that has yet to be rectified after more than a year. This is the first I have seen of a WCS customer service department. Can you please let us know how we can reach you?
And to the original poster, I would not do business with WCS again after my experience.

it's only 9 months after "rob" posted - if that's good customer service, i shudder at the thought of what happens when customer service lags.

I know the name and the office locations. I have no knowledge or opinion as to whether thye are good, bad or indifferent.

What I want to chime in with is this: Find yourself a good loan officer/mortgage consultant. Do not be concerned so much with the company image.

Any company can have a good or not so good reputation. However, if they have a great reputation and you go there and you get hooked up with the loan officer that started yesterday, you may or may not be ok.

On the other hand, a great loan officer is probably great no matter what company thay are with. Find a great loan officer. Best way is get a referral from someone you know. When you are ready to look for a mortgage, ask for a loan officer by name that has an excellent reputation.
If you can not get a referral, interview the loan officer.

If you are just looking for a good company, you may not end up with a good loan officer.

If WCS had thousands of happy customers in the past 12 months, and, one out of thousands had a bad experience and he posted the negative comment above, you have found out nothing.

George,

thank you for the good laugh. I was doing some google searching to find out more information about WCS and saw your comment of "it's only 9 months after "rob" posted". I didnt realize companies are supposed to scour the web and find posts about customer complaints and respond to them real time.

on a side note, a co-worker of mine just closed on their home purchase using WCS and had a great experience. I guess it goes to show (as john so rightfully pointed out) that if you find one bad experience out of thousands of good ones, what does that prove?

John, thank you for your truly helpful words.

I was supposed to close today, didn't happen. I had to call the title company to re-schedule (not my job). I was supposed to get the HUD-1 today to review. Didn't happen. I was supposed to get the best rate and lowest fees, but the loan officer didn't tell me about float down until I heard it from another lender. See YA! It's all about trust, and WCS lost it. I'm not going to wait for more problems.

I closed a loan with WCS several years ago and they totally misrepresented the terms of the loan. They also ordered the wrong appraisal which cost me to have to postpone the closing twice and incur 3000 additional penalties due to last minute closing rescheduling. Based on my personal experience I would NEVER recommend WCS.
