My name is currently on the deed to my mom's house along with her name. Is there anyway that she can take my name off the deed without me knowing it???
Hi rompas!

Your ex-wife has done an illegal act by selling off the property without your consent and hasn't even given you a percentage of the sale proceeds. You may take legal actions against her.

my spouse died and he was listed on the deed to is family property can they remove is name from the deed. also if they sell the property where does my spouse share of the money go to.
Hi kimtruths!

You and your deceased spouse's family members will be considered as the heirs to the property. Everyone can remove your deceased husband's name from the property deed by filing an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office. If your spouse's family sells off the property, then you should receive your spouse's share of the amount.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

You will be considered as the heir to your deceased husband's property. You should first try and add your name to the property deed by filing an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office. Once that is done, you can claim your share from the property when it is sold off. You can take legal help in this regard so that you get your due share of the property.

He hasn't move here and I don't think he wants to move here. Dose he has to sign anything to release his name off my house. i want to move on with my life.
Hi Mary!

Your boyfriend will have to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer his share of the property to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

If ur signature was forged on a quitclaim deed then, not only is the forger in trouble, since they are suppose to notarize quitclaim deeds..then the public notary would also be just as guilty!!! I know this for a fact because I am currently going thru same thing. In my case the notary that notarized the deed, is an attorney. An attorney that is currently running for State`s Attorney in my county! Now he stands the chance of not being able to practice law anymore since he violated the Notorial act/law.

My daughter and son-in-law obtained a loan on my home from a bank without my permission. Their name is not on the deed. What can I do to recover the money they took from the equity in my home.
Hi harriet,
If their names are not on the property, then they can't take out a loan on your property. I guess some kind of fraudulent activity has taken place. It will be better if you could immediately get in touch with a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
Thanks

ok my girl and i bought a house together. i found another guy had a baby buy him and got married to him. she moved out move out taking all her stuff. i don't know where she move to. no phone number. just totally disappeared. she walked away from the house. left my making the payment alone for the last 3 years. how do i get her removed from the grant deed so i can refinance to remove her from the loan... or what court paper do i fill out so i can go to court.
Welcome Christian,
She will have to sign a grant deed or a quitclaim deed in your name and remove her name from the property deed. This will make you the sole owner of the property. Then you can refinance the loan in your name. As you don't know her whereabouts, it will be better if you could contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
