My name is currently on the deed to my mom's house along with her name. Is there anyway that she can take my name off the deed without me knowing it???
My ex boyfriend signed my name without permission to modify our morgage on home what can i do

Hi karon,

Your ex-boyfriend has done something extremely illegal. It will be better if you could inform the lender about the same immediately. You should also contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

my ex husband through out divorce had to refinance the house withing 4 months. 2 years later he refinanced with new wife. i was on previous mortgage and on deed. he did not have me sign the quit claim deed and i found on public records he just deeded it himself to him and his new wife. is this illegal since i did not sign it? or does this just put a cloud on the title?

My husband recently purchased a 200 acre property (without home) in Kansas. He originally did not have my name on the title but I insisted on him adding my name. Is he able to add my name without my signature?

Hi Sadiesue,

I don't think your name will be added to the property without your signatures.

Thanks

how do I change a deed with out the other persons signature do I need them to sign it or is there a way to get them off of the deed with out them

Hi cash!

Welcome to the forums!

Unless the other person signs the quitclaim deed and transfers the property to you, it will not be possible for you to remove that person from the property deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

My ex and I divorced in 2002. In the divorce papers he was supposed to refinance the house within a year and then I was to sign the house over to him. I filed bankruptcy a few years afterward. Then, several years after that he filed bankruptcy and kept the house. Now he is getting married and moving his new wife into that house. My questions are, could he have taken my name off of the deed without refinancing. And secondly, if he puts her name on the deed and he dies do I still own part of the house?

Hi Tina,

Without refinancing, the ex-spouse will not be able to remove your name from the mortgage docs. If your name remains mentioned on the property deed at the time of his death, then you will be able to claim your share in that property.

Thanks

My mother added my brother with to her house with a quit claim deed. She wants to add me and my sister also. Do we need his signature to add us

Hi carol,

As far as I know, the brother has to sign the deed to add you and your sister to the deed. Nevertheless, you should contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
