They contacted my husband about a home loan claiming to be based out of new york. I can't find any info about them on the web. The person my husband spoke gave my husband this website to check out "centralpf.com" which doesn't provide too much info. My husband filled out something on lending tree about a month ago, that's how this person got our information. He told my husband that he was approved for a 12 yr. fixed 100,000 loan, which when you do the math with interest comes out to almost 150,000 US dollars. My instinct is giving off bad vibes about this situation....he also said that the down payment would be 4000 and that they don't take payments by phone. He said we could either wetsern union or send the payment by cashiers check. He also said that they work with several different lenders to find you a loan. I am going to call this person back and speak with him myself, because this doesn't sound right to me. He also called from an unknown number but he did leave an 800- number plus ext for us to call back.
Me and my hubby are first time home buyers and we don't want to get scammed by anyone. I probably won't even bother calling him back because i'm not cormfortable with this at all.

I got a call from out of the blue from a man who represented Northeast Funding Group. The phone number has changed from his first time to call me to the next and the next. He said he needed $1500 to pay a co-signer for my loan to be approved and that once the money was received by the co-signer my loan would be wire transferred within three hours. AFTER I received my loan, I would then have to send them my documentation regarding my income, bank statements, proof of ID, etc. He did send me some documents to sign and send back because I asked to see them before I would send any money. Truthfully, I just wanted to see the documents. When I asked if they could simply take the $1500 out of the loan proceeds and send me the balance, he had a song and dance about why that would not work and I decided they were not really on the up and up.

As was said before in this conversation, if your gut says no, pay attention! If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, chances are, it is not a fish.

Let it be known, then that Central Park Financial Services is what used to be called Atlantic Capital Financial Services.

I'm hoping that'll show up on Google searches that people do for this outfit.

has anyone actually gotten loans from this people after giving them the deposit? i would like to know. my gf and i were foolish enough to give them $700 and an extra $1000. thank gd for this blog that we had enough time to cancel the western union and got our money back. Well at least for the $1000, but the $700 they already received. dumb dumb dumb

I fell for it too and sent $800. Got a call back to about saying my credit wasnt good and they needed another $800. Thats when i got suspicious and I told them that i didnt have the money and i wanted to cancel. Said the contract said that they can ask for more collateral and that i will have to wait for their billing cycle which will be May 20th in order for them to issue back a refund. I wish there is away we could make people aware of this before they scam more people. Do you guys have the name of the man that you sent the money too? Maybe we can contact Western Union to flag that person down.

DO NOT GIVE THEM A SINGLE CENT!!!!! not even sure why people like these even exist. feel really bad for other individuals they screwed. so f#$*n ticked off right now. hope they burn in hell....

foolish i thought they took 700 from u and u got 1000 back from western union and now you are requesting 1000 back and they hung up on you! well if you got 1000 back from the refund why would you be requesting 1000 back from the company, you are foolish!

james let me guess, you probably work for them huh?....well if not, here's an explanation. we got approved for a $6000 loan with a $700 deposit and was quoted a $268 payment starting in september. we sent the $700 via western union to some person located somewhere in madrid, spain. they called us d said that the lenders rechecked the credit and that we needed to send them an extra $1500. well, we did send them $1500 via western union but then saw this blog and decided to not go through with the claim. we had enough time to cancel the $1500 that we sent, but could not get back the $700 cause they already received it. Now we tried to call them and ask for the refund for the $700, but all they said was we were playing games and just fkn hung up the phone on us. NOT FOOLISH AT ALL....
Posted on: 26th Apr, 2010 11:58 pm
the gf and i can relate to whoever "foolish" is, except ours is a much bigger amount. we saw this blog and canceled the loan, but they told us to wait till may 20th for our refund. let's just hope for the best.

well foolish i dont work for the company! but your story seems to change everytime you post something! i'm actually working to get a loan with this company. why would they tell you to send an additional payment of 1500 if your initial payment was for 700? your story does not make any sense! I've actually asked my agent about your blog and he has told me that you are pretty well known at the company and basically that you have been lying the whole time to them. they couldnt give me the details because it was confidential but looking at your story it doesnt add up! please explain what had happened truthfully i really need this loan
