Can credit card company place lien on Social Security Check?

Get a copy fro the ss offices showing that these are ss benefits (unless you have direct deposit then that should be proof enough for the bank) and go to the bank yourself. Make sure this is only ss benefits because if you deposit other monies it could make it so that they can attach. I also have never heard of anyone but a bank putting a lein on a car.

As far as I know, social security income is exempt from garnishment. You will have to speak to the lender regarding this. You can even consult a lawyer who will speak to the lender on your behalf.

As far as I know, no one can place lien on social security income. You can contact your lawyer and he will be the best person to help you out.

Yes, and I am assuming that the lien would be against your Mom's SS - is that right? As long as she is on the account, the cc company can attach.

for a car repo... can the lender have a lien put on your property, if you are on s.security? I know that the check can't be garnished.
