My investor who wants to repossess my home is constantly harassing me. But I am still current on my mortgage payments. If we don't pay an insurance payment and miss any property tax, they say that they will be taking our home. I am currently staying in a mobile home park. Can you tell me, if I apply to HUD will they help us pay off the loan and move into some other place?
BY THE WAY THE HOME I HAVE TO LEAVE IS A MOBILE HOME ON A RENTED LOT. IT IS A REPOCESSION. I DONT HAVE A PENNY TO PAY THEM BACK IF I WANTED TO. COULD THEY ALSO TAKE MY CAR AWAY THAT IS PAID FOR (1,000). I WORK PART TIME AND i make about 150 - 200 per week. i need money to live on. would they put me in the street?
Hi MADELEINE,
If the Suntrust Bank gets a judgment against you, then they can garnish your wages or place a lien on your car or garnish your savings account.
Thanks

Like any other negative item, the repossession will remain in your credit report for the next 7 years. However, with time, the negative effects of repossession will lower. So, your credit will start improving and you will be able to get a refinance for your existing home.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

My husband had an accident and we couldnt pay all the bills so home is now in repossession. The trailer is separate from land how long do i have to give them to get it off my property? And can i charge them a storage fee i live in South Carolina.
Our mobile home is located on my Mother's property in Texas. If the mobile home is reposessed, could the land become involved in any way? The mobile home and septic tank are the only items on the loan. The land has been paid for a long time ago.
Thanks,
John
Thanks,
John
Welcome alisha,
The lender will provide you with an eviction notice mentioning the time period to leave the property. You will have to leave the property within that time period. You may be able to charge a storage fee to the bank.
Hi JohnK,
I don't think the land will become involved in any way though the property is foreclosed.

We fell behind on our payment and can't get the money to bring it current. The mortgage company says they will "send it to the legal department Monday" There is no land attached to the loan. What type of time we will have to move once that happens? Thanks for your help
Hi Soufanieh!
Welcome to forums!
Once the repossession is complete, you will receive an eviction notice from the lender. This notice will mention the time period within which you will have to leave the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

My husband lost his job in 2010 and hasn't been employed since. We were keeping up on our home payments until around four months ago. Now they are saying they will foreclose on us. How long do we have to find another place? Also, I read there are two types of contracts or deeds. One is where the lender has to take the buyer to court and the other one is where the lender doesn't have to.
Do you know anything about these different contracts?
By the way, the lenders wanted $1540 by March 1, which we could not come up with. So we already had a payment situation lined up. They refuse to work with us anymore. Mainly, I want to know how long we have to find other living arrangements. I'm a retired senior on a fixed income of, get this, $178 a month. Hubby is almost out of unemployment.

Hi Clairetta!
Welcome to forums!
You will be able to stay in the property until the foreclosure sale is complete. After the foreclosure sale, you will receive an eviction notice from the lender which will mention the time period within which you will have to leave the property.
I guess you're speaking about judicial and non-judicial foreclosure.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

hi brent,
if the lender does not receive the payments on time, he has the right to take you to the court in order to recover his dues. you can apply for a short sale or a deed in lieu of foreclosure in order to get rid of the property. however, it will be the discretion of the lender as to whether or not he will consider your request.
thanks,
jerry
