NACA programs - Are they really helpful?

Can anyone shed light on an organization named Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America? Are they legitimate & helpful or just a bunch of hype? See the link:

now you're wasting our time.

they are not to be trusted reamenber if you have a loan with bank of america and they get funding from bank of america ( by the way they DO) what makes you think that they are going to advocate for you against thier own business partner? they will probably mislead you and sabotage your loan to screw up your loan on purpose (what a conflict of interest on their part and how misleading and corrupt. very dissapointed

getting funding from an entity does not a partnership make.

ap, do you have personal experience that you'd wish to share? otherwise, your post seems to be simply a negative one with no basis in fact.

mislead?
sabotage?
screw up?
on purpose?
conflict of interest?
corrupt?

yes, very disappointed would describe those of us who could hope to learn from your experiences, if any. what you've given us is a screed that we have no way of reconciling with any truth. please come back and elaborate on your knowledge.

please, everyone who might be reading this thread, be aware that i am in no way associated with naca. i do not currently work for naca, and i have never previously worked with naca. calling me to ask questions about naca won't get you any valid answers. you should contact the most local office of naca - do an internet search if you must.

thank you.

Welcome antoine,

This is not the official website of NACA. You will have to visit the local office of NACA in your area and check out the status of your mortgage.

i'm a single mother with three under adult age children. i've had severe health problems within the last two years. i had a house fire in "2009" and haven't been able to bounce back since. i really tried to keep my payments up with the bank but i wasn't able to. prior to coming to bank of america i hade a bad refinance experience. my mortgage payments had gone from $$800.00 to 1,200.00 (adjustable) climbing up to $1,600.00. and finally with bank of america at $1,400.00. my children and i had been in our home since "2003", and have enjoyed it. i just pray that the lord give me a second chance with my children and my home.

Hi Helen!

Welcome to forums!

You should contact your lender and apply for a loan modification with your lender. If your request is accepted, then you'll get an affordable payment plan to pay off the dues.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
