NACA programs - Are they really helpful?

Posted on: 06th May, 2007 07:38 am
Can anyone shed light on an organization named Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America? Are they legitimate & helpful or just a bunch of hype? See the link:

Hi Veronica!

Welcome to forums!

It will be better if you could contact the local NACA office and take their help in filling out the form.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

I've been told about this program by a friend and Im very excited to learn more as Im one of those ppl that have been saving to buy my home. I will be a first time home buyer. I was told that you have to attend a seminar in order to qualify, so my question is, where and when is the next seminar in my area??? How can I attend??

Hi joypayne,

You need to contact the local NACA office in your area and check out if they will be arranging any seminar or not. They will be able to help you better as to how you'll be able to attend it.

Thanks

I see a lot of good information about NACA, but the answers are a bit repetitive. Is this program legitimate? I do not mind putting in the work, as long as it helps me have a home. I am a first time home buyer and I need more answers. How long is the process?, Is a good success rate for qualifying to buy homes?, I went to the class for the first time and I just sat there for 2 hours and they never directly answered my questions. As I said, I do not mind doing what is necessary as long as I see some progress. :?

Hi visitor,

As far as I know, the program is legitimate. You should contact the local NACA office and check out what type of help you will need in order to get a home of your own.

Thanks

Hi Guest,

You will have to trust people and move forward. As you're facing problems in paying the debts, you should contact the creditors and apply for help. In order to avoid any kind of fraud, you should read the documents carefully and then sign on the docs.

Thanks,

Jerry

Come on and be realisticl, there is no company or bank that does not charge d/pm, closing costs etc., BE AWARE!!!! remember NACA was once through Countrywide, and Countrywide guess why it closed? FRAUDS!!!!! people open your eyes!! for modifications having trouble with payments the only one that can help you is your bank. Your bank who you have your mortgage is the only one that will help you to modify your payments. No one does something for nothing!!! Dont be blurred with this NACA help!!! this help is only for 4 to 6 months and then BAMMMM again your into more problems!!! Some people say they got help from NACA, no, no, these people who says these absurd things are from NACA (same employees, representatives) You are paying mortgage to a bank, if the bank tells you there is nothing they can do, then thats it. Think when and how does NACA come in the picture if the your bank says no? Ask your bank they are not going to let go of a loan and give it to NACA. BE REALISTIC!!! this is just another fraud

Hi Teresa,

You can contact NACA and discuss your situation with them. They will let you know whether or not they can help you with the process.

it is a year already since ocwen loan servicing, is working out a loan modification for me, and this has been a nightmare for me, the stop accepting mortgage payments from me since August, 2011 They ask me over and over for the same documents, which I been faxing ever since. They are closing the circle so tight for me, that now they are ready to forclosure in me. I know they want my property so bad And I don't kow how to defend my self from them! I am 78 years old, this is the only residence I have, I am alone, my husband died on July 29, 2009. I need help!

Hi Ana!

Welcome to forums!

You can apply for a reverse mortgage and pay off the existing mortgage in full in order to get rid of the loan. This will help you pay off the existing mortgage.
