Transferring property: Statewise sample quitclaim deed forms

Posted on: 26th Mar, 2007 05:09 am
Hi all,

While participating in this community forums, I have often found people looking for online forms especially those related to quit claim deed.

The forms on quit claim deed are different in each state as they are in accordance with the state laws. I have tried to collect a number of quit claim deed forms which are available in the government websites of the respective states or counties.
If any of you find out quit claim forms used in some other states, feel free to add it below.

Thanks.
after you complete the quitclaim, signatures, etc. where do you send it?

Hi olson,

You will have to take the deed to the county recorder's office and record the deed.

Hi patrick,

I don't think that a filled out sample quitclaim deed of Minnesota will be available. You can take help of a real estate attorney in order to fill out the deed.

Thanks

Why is there not a free sample anywhere for Texas? Has anyone purchased one of these online they would be willing to share as a sample?

Hi mud!

Welcome to the forums!

Rather than checking out the sample forms for Texas, it will be better if you could get in touch with a real estate attorney and get the deed drafted from him.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Thanks Sussane but I'm having a difficult time finding a real estate attorney that is licensed in Texas as I am living in another state and we are trying to remove my spouse's name from the deed on a rental property in order to keep a collection agency from putting a lean on it for a debt they had from before we were married... The property is in both of our names but the mortgage is in my name only and I make all of the payments out of my income as my spouse does not work due to medical reasons.

Thanks James...

I was able to find the following Quitclaim Deed for Texas without having to purchase it... it's on the Collin County website. Even though our property is not in Collin County it should still work... hopefully.

someone else may need to post this link since I can not post it properly (without spaces).

Texas Quitclaim Deed:

Hi dorothy,

As you're giving the property back over to the landlord, you will have to sign where it says "Grantor's signatures".
