If my dad wants to put his property into my name can he do a quit-claim form signing it over to me?
Hi FaTina,
You will have to ask the other owners of the property to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property.

I would like to have my ex wife name removed from my deed to my lot of land that was sold to us for $1.00. I live in NY state. What do I need to do?
Hi George,
You will have to ask your ex-wife to sign a quitclaim deed in your favor and transfer the property to you. Once she does so, you'll become the sole owner of the property.
Thanks

how can a man who gets married get his wife's name on a deed and his girlfriend's name off?
My mother's first name is Brenda. It was miswritten or mistyped as Linda on her property deed and it was recorded that way. What must she do to correct this kind of error in Arkansas.
Hi feralstat,
The girlfriend needs to sign a quitclaim deed in the name of the man and then the man needs to sign a new quitclaim deed and add his wife to the property deed.
To Marcy,
Your mother should contact a real estate attorney and take his help in changing your mother's incorrect name on the property deed.
Thanks

Hi Rochelle,
If your mother has left a will mentioning you as the beneficiary of the property, then you will be able to add your name to the property by probating the will. You need to contact an attorney and he will be able to help you in this regard.

Hi denise,
If your name is not mentioned on the property deed, then you won't be able to claim any ownership rights on that property though your name is mentioned on the mortgage. Your spouse is the sole owner of that property.
Thanks
