My name is LA'Keshia Durden and I'm homeless and ive been on the waiting list for almost 2 years. I cant afford a regular appartment the rent is to high. I was once a working person and I got ill so I have little money and no place to live could someone please help me with my section voucher its not clean nor is it safe for me to be on the streets im not nor have I ever been on drugs. I would just love to have my own place to stay at a affordale place to lay my head. Ive known of others that has just sighned up for section 8 and they recieved there vouchers. I hope who ever reAD THIS COULD HELP ME OUT IN JESUS NAME SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

You should immediately contact the Public Housing Authority of your state and reapply for Section 8. The Public Housing Authority will be able to help you know when you'll be able to receive the vouchers.

I need to know if my application is approved. I have custody of my 21 month old grandson and a husband who was laid off February 24th 2010. I am disabled and we were displaced by the pines of mindinao in Jacksonville, fl. they to me that we were not apartment people that we needed a house. They did not renew our lease. We need this so very much. I am on oxygen at night, I am in a hoveround and I do not have a ramp to go outside and to my appointments. I need a section 8 voucher. What is the status of my application ?

Hey guys and gal's if you want to know your status you won't find it in HUD. They only give you limited information, you'll actually have to go to the location where you signed up. If you're unable to do that your best bet would be to talk to your local shelter homes and or a welfare office manager.
