section 8 application status

When you call HUD to check on your status in california, you are completely stonewalled. YOu will get no info at all. That's why people are on here asking questions. So Mr. Akerley, things in california are not like where you are...try some compassion.

Bob, if you see no compassion here, then I'm wasting my time trying to help people who can't seem to find the answers they need. I definitely know I'm wasting time reading posts that criticize me without anything valuable to say to anyone else. If you can't help anyone, why not just let those of us who actually try to do so continue? Your commentary really isn't helpful at all.

Eveltyn, I have no experience personally with Section 8, but from the remarks that show up on this thread, I guess it ought not to be much of a surprise to know that a year or more will pass before there's any information. Nevertheless, you ought to call the local office to find out what you can.

You need to check out with the local housing authority through which you applied for the Section 8 housing assistance. If you can tell us where you applied for it, someone might be able to provide you with the details regarding who you can get in touch with to know the status of your application.

I signed up for section 8 about 2or 3 years ago and just wanted to know where I am on the list....

You'll have to get in touch with the local housing authority through which you applied for the section 8. May i know through which housing authority you applied for it? If you can provide with a little more detail like the name of your state and county, someone might be able to give you the contact information of the concerned department or the person who you can get in touch with, regarding the status of your section 8 application.

George you look like a smart guy maybe you have not figured it out that not everyone is as Fortunate as you are. Finding out the statue of section 8 or Hud is very hard to find out. Maybe instead of telling people to call which most likely they already have maybe you could find out some info for them on how to get the statue. If you dont want to do that then back off and allow someone else answer the question!!!
